Wedding Pictures Fall 2011

Seems like a long time ago, but I am just now getting to sorting through some of the floral photos from my own wedding and thought I would share them. We had a casual ceremony followed by a luncheon with our close friends and family. I have always loved David Austen's "patience" rose so I decided to make that a focal point of my big day.

David's english garden roses feature HUGE heads of lovely smelling blooms. They are perfect for any wedding but can be particularly useful during months when the ever popular peony is out of season. We used them as the focal flowers for the bouquets, as well as the corsages and boutenieres, paired with stock and dusty miller.

In an effort to make the event seem more intimate and personal I used items from my sister's house as containers for the luncheon centerpieces.

Centerpiece arrangement featuring white football mums, david austen patience roses, stock, green dianthus and dusty miller in a silver water pitcher.

The evening of our wedding we hosted a party/reception for a larger group of friends, co-workers and family. We danced all night. My friends helped transport the white and green wedding flowers to the reception site and we mixed them in among some other seasonal arrangements I had done in a casual style using mason jars and wine bottles Dusty and I collected during our engagement.
